Let’s break the ice, shall we?

Heralding from Brunel University, (studying my BA in Film and Television Studies and MA in Media and Public Relations) I quickly realised I was not going to be the film director I thought I would be when I left college. Instead, I found a passion for communications, and digital marketing.

I am currently managing social media at giffgaff, including their big campaigns, the always on, and the social plan for their TV sponsorships (including The Circle and The Crystal Maze).

My previous client was the home decoration brands at AkzoNobel, where I owned and managed the social channels and content for Dulux UK, Dulux Trade, Dulux Decorator Centre, Cuprinol and more. This was an exciting role, where I worked relentlessly to integrate insight-led, and user-generated content alongside their large marketing campaigns.

When I’m not slogging away on my two-screens (or sometimes three-screens), you can often find me performing in a local dance show, reading in my bean bag chair, traveling the world, or just plain being a geek at a fan convention.  Sometimes I like to be adventurous, and do crazy things like skydive, bungee jump or climb big, big, big hills like Mount Kilimanjaro. I also eat an obscene quantity of Bournville chocolate, so feel free to use this knowledge to your advantage when working with me.

As you can see from my website, I am passionate about knowledge sharing. I’ve struggled through being a team-of-one for many years now, and take great pleasure in being able to adapt and learn new things quickly. Through my #SocialWolfpack, I love to share my experience and knowledge with other lone-wolf social media managers out there!
