A slight break from my traditional blogs, but I felt like sharing this information nonetheless.

For just over 3 months, I have been using toiletries that I’ve mixed myself – and I’m never going back! Here’s what I use:

Moisturiser:
Coconut oil

Body Wash:
1/4 cup of coconut oil
1/4 cup of raw honey
(Whisk these two together)
1/2 cup of Liquid Castile Soap
15 drops of essential oils of your choice
(Shake before each use)

Hand Soap:
Fill dispenser 3/4 full
2 tablespoons of Liquid Castile Soap
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
10 drops of essential oils

Exfoliator:
1/2 cup of sugar (I use brown)
1/2 cup of coconut oil
>8 drops of essential oils
Store in an air tight jar

Deodorant:
1/3 cup of coconut oil
2 tablespoons of baking soda
1/3 cup of arrow root powder
10 drops of essential oils
Store in an air tight jar

I did make a note of mixtures for toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner. I chose not to make these as my hair is either permed or dyed, and there is some debate as to acidity of the hair mixtures. I have a spray bottle of DIY conditioner that I use every couple of months or so, though. I’m also quite fussy on taste, so I preferred to stick to my Iron and Hammer baking soda base toothpaste.
